Bob and Jill are avid skiers who started a wiki called Ski-Wiki. When they started it, they had no idea that they would get thousands of hits per day within a month time.

Now they have a problem, because their ISP is complaining and wants them to upgrade their account to an expense corporate account. Frankly, Bob and Jill don't have the money and they don't feel like looking for sponsors. They are passionate about skiing, not about fund raising and business.

Could a peer-to-peer wiki help Bob and Jill deal with the sudden growth of their site? --

What about searching together for such a

  • Google:PeerToPeerWiki
  • Google:Peer2PeerWiki ( no entry yet 2007/11/01), but soon I guess, at least this page will show up )
  • Google:Peer+to+PeerWiki
  • Google:Peer+to+Peer+Wiki

I usually try CamelCase terms for searching with Google, because chances are better to find wikis and best of all, usually Meatball contributions at the top of the list ;-) Googling lead me to a very informative page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peer-to-peer_wiki that might help. Especially together with a CVS-system this might be an interesting variant. Please keep us informed, if you gather experience with such a system.
