No point in pretending that the Web isn't totally commercial - is there? Ok, not totally, but 99%. It's either full of pr0n or is a holding place for corporate brochures, trying to drum up more business and see a return on investment (the famous old ROI).
Most people are web consumers, and don't actually contribute anything to this media. And, for the time being, that's the way they like it. Will it continue? What is the trend here? Will people realise the true potential for this technology and start to use it in other ways other than just seeing a return on their investment.
I am confused. I came here looking for instantly useful knowledge and hedonic gratification, and I do not understand why I would do anything for other than return on investment. I am now very disappointed. And where's this page's snazzy banner ad?
Very good - ask admin for them to be included - I like the sort that almost bring on epilepsy because they flash so much. The other sort that are disguised as Windows apps are hilarious - especially as I'm a linux user.
