DiscourseAnalysis is a qualitative approach to analyzing and interpreting written, spoken or signed language use in the social sciences and humanities. Contrary to linguistics, this method of analysis primarily interprets language use in its social context.

This method could be used in researching the human side of WikiTechnology, its sociology or content. For example, it could be used to better understand anything from the different conversation styles of OnlineCommunities, or the similarities and differences between the different language translations of WikiPedia.
