I've got a number of low-priority wiki and general on-line group questions and notes.
1. Had anyone had success with implementing a "dirty" flag on a text entry system in a browser?
I've seen some java-script attempts at this for multi-page form, but I'm most interested in notifiying the user of "there's text in this text box, are you sure you want to a. Close, b. Leave this window?"
2. Today John Robb noted in the KLogs group that WikiPedia is a good example of a wiki for knowledge base. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/klogs/message/418 Is there a smaller example? I see the wikiPedia model to hold too much work expectation for small group wikizen to motivate themself to. I'd post there but John has (essentially) requested that list not be minute discussion, but minor essays.
Welcome! Have you looked at some of the smaller non-English Wikipedias? The various languages are fairly seperate in many ways.
Thanks. Just noticed WikiPediaIsNotTypical.
