Because I have a kind of dyslexia, I have difficulty with reproducing patterns. I began to talk when I was about 6 years old and I still can't draw letters (write) very well. It's not that I'm stupid (at least, the iq tests say I'm not) but reproducing patterns are very hard for me to do. Thank Jah for computers: A computer is very good at reproducing patterns and typing is much easier then drawing.
I got a PowerBook? (20041203) and it helps a lot to be able to take it with me everywhere and with my wiki I can (core) dump my mind and spirit without having to organize it first to much: the connections are added later. Also I can edit them.
I have the strange idea that my opinions (even the strong ones) are all editable and that I may change (edit) my mind, whenever I want. I consider change natural: but it's never really a slow gradual process for me. I tend to take it in jumps and bumps... This is a bad thing because many people expect you to stick with your story for the rest of your life. Change is considered a weakness where I live. People compliment each other on the fact that they have not change in years; I never understood that. I believe this is the reason why I like the WikiWikiWeb as much as I do. -- gmlk (edited and moved here)
- Welcome on Meatball, Gideon. I share many of your feelings about wiki. I know it since aug 03 and it is about to change everything (not only in my head, but all over I think). It can reconstruct (and debug) the structures of human brain on the CI-level, every indivdual as a neuron, deciding about where to make a synapsis. There is no control in it but there are friends and a neigborhood. People have an eye on you, it is fun to join in, to behave and learn. -- MattisManzel
- Wow. You make me blush. Thank you all for this very warm welcome. -- GideonKlok
By the way:
- if you know German, you may be interested in the GründerWiki and BücherWiki
- if you need a public private wiki, just drop a word, customizable, looks like [1] or [2]
- if you have contacts to wiki-interested teachers in the Netherlands, we still have FreeWikisForSchools
-- HelmutLeitner
- I really don't know German... and I don't know of any school which had any interests in a schoolwiki, which would not also be able to do it themselves.. -- GideonKlok
I enjoyed your insightful addition to EvilIsEvil. It was very timely given a discussion I had recently over the open source conference. -- SunirShah
