A wiki community has to have a purpose, also known as a CommonIdea?, achieved by a goal. This can be finite in concept or abstract, but it binds the community together. A goal is what facilitates the common interest.

Goal setting is achieved by the CommonIdea? that a community has. People are interested in may things and have many different opinions, but there is one idea that sets the goal for a project.
