Basically suggests we're moving into a new economic order where social connections are becoming the most important form of wealth.
Netocractic theory sees two fundamental economic activities :
Just as capitalism is partly about owning land and resources and working them, but increasingly about turning capital (money and ownership of manufacturing plant and resources) into more capital by trading / working it, so the hallmark of true Netocracy is imploitation turning social connections into more social connections, with the exploitation part playing a lesser role.
It's arguable that other theories of InformationEconomy? / AttentionEconomy? / KnowledgeEconomy? etc. are all seeing just the "exploitation" part through being fixated on "money".
