disclaimer: I'm not enough of an expert in the subject to authoritatively define the term; "information market" is the term i heard from a presentation from a guy at http://www.hpl.hp.com/shl (Huberman). I added my attempted definition in the second paragraph of the new InformationDerivativeMarket page. "Information market" does seems like kind of a misnomer for that idea because although the market is designed to elicit information, information itself is not traded. I have a feeling that the idea is young enough not to have a canonical name yet; so i took the liberty of renaming it InformationDerivativeMarket.
