EarleMartin has designed a wonderful ResourceDescriptionFramework-based format to describe the key information about a given wiki. The description provides a semantic description of information like:

• Wiki name
• Wiki description
• Link to RecentChanges
• Link to AllPages
• Links to functions, like page history, search, diff
• WikiEngine
• etc.

This is the key content as part of WikiSelfDiscovery. The other parts are a WikiCrawler, WikiSearchEngine, and a standard <link/> tag to point to the WikiProfile.

• For AutoDiscovery, there needs to be either a canonical location (less robust due to UriRewriting and WikiFarms), or a LinkTag.
• There needs to be a place to discuss the standard. Here?
• A way to extend the RDF key:value set in a fluid, natural way so people can add custom extensions.
• A tarball key:value set.
