The introduction may be more interesting than the books to Meatball readers. Its major ideas are that people will usually be honest, and that word-of-mouth popularity may lead to many sales. Parts of the essay are very similar to the HardSecurity/SoftSecurity discussion. Many of the conclusions were surprising given the essay is from a publisher and some of its most popular authors.
