FOAF allows you to make personal, homepage like information about you to be automated into a website. It allows the machine to grab your blog and personal info and all that jazz and make it into a home page on the wiki you registered to. --MahyarMcDonald?

: Looking at the automatic FOAF file generator ( http://www.ldodds.com/foaf/foaf-a-matic ) it seems more focussed on what one's job is than what one actually does. Much like wiki in fact: more focussed on work than play. Perhaps because Wiki itself was first created by (dare I say it) geeks who enjoy what they work at... perhaps this is the true nature of the split between the BlogoSphere and Wikis (see, for instance, LiveJournal where users list their interests rather than their job.

I like foaf, but it should be on wiki page. Geeks have static pages to put it on. Peaple can make a wiki homepage. An easyl template to manage your friends, add, despam and it's the base for a world society. [community-wiki: foaf]. -- [Mattis Manzel]
