He is just about the exact opposite of CliffordStoll, in that Negroponte is intensely serious and calm while Stoll is manic, responsible and dressed that way while Stoll is somewhat of a hippyish clown, and quite enthusiastic about introducing computing into every sphere of human endeavors while Stoll's books (SiliconSnakeOil, HighTechHeretic?) are wary of this move. This is why I always put them side by side on my bookshelf, because they together provide a picture of adding technology to our culture. --DaveJacoby
