One of the BSD offshoots based on the BSD 4.4-lite code release, OpenBSD uses a variety of practices to ensure stability and security of the system On several occasions the developers have made PeerReview audits of the code to assure there are no common coding errors, such as buffer overruns. OpenBSD comes with no insecure networking processes running by default. Theo de Raadt is the project leader.
