Some people use a private mailing list (or a huge BCC header) to send mails about themselves to friends. This is useful if you move away and want to keep in touch with old friends. Put them on your private mailing list, and mail them pieces of your diary from time to time. Other people do not send the diary entries themselves but just links to their OnlineDiary.

An example at hand would be SunirShah's diary whilst he is/was travelling. Note that most of his diary entries (at least those mailed to his friends and family) are tagged with NamedAnchor?s.
