A ValueProposition is the notion of the value provided by something. Definitely BusinessSpeak?, but the concept is valid.

As yourself: "Why should a user use this?" "What value does this provide that is not already provided by other sources?"

This should give you an idea of how much someone will give for it. (In the case of a Wiki this might be tolerance of a hairy user interface, or the annoyance of having to log in).
