Mass Transit, or Public Transportation can be a noble idea -- moving people effectively and cheaply around cities and their suburbs.

The actual execution of the idea can range from slick to slippery. In America, CarCulture is dominant.

As a dialectic against CarCulture, this is an important concept to flesh out. Can someone make this into a Pattern? Otherwise, I'd say we should delete it as it is a ShallowPage lest we can brainstorm it. If my writing queue weren't so long as it was, I would have a few things to say about TheIndividual vs. TheCollective, socialized services as a MarketActor? (an EconomicSolution), depreciating yet "one-time" public investments vs. consumer-driven capital renewal, urban growth patterns (the 30 minute rule, as mentioned on CarCulture) -- SunirShah
