It's an ideas bank. We all have some good ideas about how to make the world a better place. Often the people who have them aren't the people in a position to do something with them. ShouldExist provides a place for them to be archived and searched by others. It's a community of original thinkers brainstorming about our future.
It's a tool, a system, an infrastructure (though not a highly recognized one). It is morally, ethically, politically neutral, vacant even.
It's run by me, EricHanson. We got our start from KuroShin and SlashDot, and are currently using the ScoopEngine.
By submitting an idea to ShouldExist, you are explicitly placing it in the PublicDomain. Compare with IdeaADay.
