Pattern Name: GuestBookPattern (aka RecentVisitors)
Context: Wikis are seeking ways to activate readers to become authors.
Problem: The first step is the hardest. Many people appreciate wikis and read them (lurk) for months before starting to write (if ever). It's difficult for many to raise their voice in the public and take a risk.
Solution: Create a page GuestBook to leave informal comments.
Resulting Context: People are used to guest books and know that they can write what they want without taking a risk. So the guest book will be used over time. The effect may not be extraordinary but sometimes a contributor will walk that way into the wiki community. Each single person counts.
