When designing interfaces, in particular for InformationVisualization, one is limited by the human visual system. While our ability to see is very flexible and powerful, it isn't ideal. We may consider the realities of how the eye functions and how the higher and lower order visual systems in the brain function when making decisions. This is similar to how we must consider how UsingTheMouse affects user interfaces.
